Coalition for the Advancement and Unity of Students of Enverga (CAUSE) Party prevailed in the 2022 University Student Council (USC) election as the sole student political party to present an official lineup of candidates and as the only accredited party by the USCOMELEC.

The campaign period began on September 21 with a strenuous set of campaign activities prepared by the party from recorded speeches to creative TikTok videos and a face-to-face campaign with NSTP students on September 24.

The campaign activities from September 25 to 26 were mainly social media engagements on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. With the party president Simon Romuel L. Uy’s initiative, the CAUSE Party completed its lineup for the major positions in the University Collegiate Student Council (UCSC) starting from presidency with Genesis “Madam Gen” C. Zerrudo, a 2nd year BS Marine Transportation student; Mickaella Rane Torres, a 3rd year BS Education major in English student as the vice president; Felomena M. Quizana, a 3rd year AB Political Science student as the Secretary; Lyka Lizette A. Gabia, a 4th year BS Accountancy student as the Treasurer; and Jan Angelo R. Tamondong, a 4th year BS Civil Engineering student as the Auditor.

Moreover, the councilors include Nicole I. Rodil, a 3rd year AB Political Science student from CAS; Ma. Kaye Sandra L. Galeon, a 4th year BS Management Accounting from CBA; Borris F. Garcia, a 2nd year BS Criminology from CCJC; Mszeey R. Montalbo, a 4th year BS Entertainment and Multimedia Computing student from CCMS; Jude Calvin D. Cordero, a 2nd year Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports student from CEd; Dan Joshua A. Bautista, a 3rd year BS Civil Engineering from CEng; Jemson M. Paralleon, a 2nd year BS Marine Transportation from CME; and Sophia Nicole A. Abaca, a 2nd year BS Medical Technology student from CNAHS.

As the CAUSE Party hones student-leaders, they have prepared a new set of campaign managers as well which are Joshua D. Perez, John Rev A. Remo, Shaira M. Luna, Lyca Mae F. Penarejo, Matthew A. Remo, and Aaron Berches.

The CAUSE Party, as it stays true to its mission, has focused its platform on collaboration, assistance, unity, student welfare, and extension of service which are evident in the candidates’ platforms.

Further, the party members also received various support from their advisers, Sir John Rover Sinag and Sir Arby Lagman.

The 2022 USC election was initially scheduled for September 26, but it was moved to September 27 after the hit of Typhoon Karding in the country. The election was facilitated by the USCOMELEC in which they utilized the Student Portal as the only voting platform for all Envergans.
