Enverga University introduced its first-ever Step-Up Christmas Dance Showdown to a lively crowd at the opening program of Fiestanglaw Year 14 held in front of the University Gymnasium, Nov. 7.
The dance showdown featured high-energy performances from Envergan students, with three groups from the College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (CIHTM), the College of Education, and the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) competing for Best Dance Group.
Each contender showcased distinct choreography, infusing their routines with styles like hip-hop and voguing, which elevated the competition’s overall atmosphere.
CIHTM’s dancers, Alexandria Tablante, Khaye Meviel Pepito, Hannah Mae Lamadrid, and Ronald Allan Dela Rosa, performed a fusion of voguing and breakdance, captivating the crowd with their stylish moves.

The CEd group, composed of Xymon Martinez, Marione Desaluna, Sheryll Lobusta, Shane Tabernilla, and Daniella Daphne Ampatin, performed trendy, hip-hop-inspired routines, blending contemporary moves with swag.

Meanwhile, CBA’s Jesela Mae Aquino, Trishia Mae Bragais, Vienna Lou Dela Luna, Ronniel Angelo Vidad, and Amanda Leigh Quezada adopted a ‘Mean Girls’-inspired theme that delighted the audience with its festive flair.

“Entertaining ‘yung [dance showdown] kasi very energetic nung mga dancer tapos may kaniya-kaniya silang twist … buhay na buhay talaga ‘yung Fiestanglaw dahil sa energy nila,” said Princess Oriola, a student who watched the event.
The debut of the Step-Up Christmas Dance Showdown set an exciting tone, building anticipation for the upcoming Fiestanglaw events.
The winning group will be announced at the Christmas Bazaar Opening on Nov. 12.
