Last Performance Lasts: Maestro Musika triumphs in BOTB ’24

In a fierce showdown of musical talent, Maestro Musika from the College of Education emerged victorious in the Battle of the Bands competition held at the University Gymnasium, Feb. 14.

Maestro Musika ignited the MSEUF community with their powerful rendition of Freddie Aguilar’s ‘Anak’ after enchanting the crowd with their composition of ‘Palasyong Puti’.

Meanwhile, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Xscape Band clinched a second-place finish with their compelling performance of Sarah Geronimo’s ‘Kilometro’ and their original song ‘Pamungkas’.

The College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management’s (CIHTM) Hospitality Groove snagged 3rd place with their song ‘Lahat’ and bold performance of Gloc-9 and KZ Tandingan’s ‘Upuan’.

Other competing bands that performed to sway the audience were College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA) Arch+urnal, College of Criminal Justice and Criminology’s (CCJC) Balarao and Parokya ni Lombroso, College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) ABC Company, College of Computing and Multimedia Studies’ (CCMS) Sisimis, College of Engineering’s (CENG) Mechanical Avenue, College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (CNAHS) Medisina, College of Maritime Education’s (CME) Marinenisid.

Moreover, two local band artists from Quezon Province performed as guests in the battle of the bands namely: Jolo and Manelle and Ippo Huwano.
