Loud cheers and spirited standing ovations filled the walls of MSEUF AEC Little Theater on March 23 as the crowd erupted for Raihjja Lames of MSEUF-Lucena, who earned the Mutya ng PRISAA Quezon 2023 title with her poise, beauty, and wit.

Mutya ng PRISAA Quezon 2023, in line with the PRISAA Quezon Chapter Meet, highlighted four (4) different portions, including Intro Costume, Swimwear, Long Gown, and Question and Answer.

Maryhill College’s bet won the Best in Long Gown special award while St. Anne College of Lucena Incorporated’s (SACLI) representative obtained the Best in Swimwear and Best in Intro Costume awards.

Aside from Enverga-Lucena’s title win, the College of Sciences, Technology, and Communications Incorporated (CSTC) bet also bagged 1st runner-up. In the Q and A portion, Lames passionately answered the question about the best trait people learn in playing sports, saying that it lets people dream big.

“It’s true that sports teach us self-discipline, teamwork, and proficiency to share our victories. However, I believe the best trait that we endeavour in engaging in sports is to always dream big,” Lames said, adding that there are no barriers in sports in terms of social and political stances.

Aside from the Mutya ng PRISAA Quezon 2023 coronation, the event also featured the Vocal Solo competition with Calayan Educational Foundation Inc. (CEFI) besting their competitors to claim the 1st place, together with MSEUF-Candelaria in 2nd place, and St. Anne College Lucena Inc. placing 3rd.

A Vocal Duet Competition was a part of the program featuring performances from MSEUF-Candelaria, who bagged 1st place, MSEUF-Lucena in 2nd, and Calayan Educational Foundation Inc. (CEFI) in 3rd.
