The College of Education organized Usapang Heart Health: A Heart-to-Heart Talk as a part of the National Heart’s Month celebration at the AEC Little Theatre, on Mar. 3.

Headed by the Torch Carrier Organization, CEd-Community Extension Service, and A Group Harvesting Acquired Knowledge Through Scientific Method, the event aimed to raise awareness of the relevance of cardiovascular health through a healthy lifestyle. Ms. Marie Grace M. Jasolin, Assistant Processor IV, tackled the importance of knowing the basics of knowing one’s physical state such as determining their heart rate per minute.

Meanwhile, Dr. John Chua, SHS Coordinator at Castañas National High School, discussed the essence of looking after one’s physical condition and the relevance of knowing the physiology of the heart.

“The event was good for us because it taught us how to take care of our hearts physiologically and emotionally,” a CEd student said.

The CEd, then, celebrated their feat after conducting a successful event.
