College of Arts and Sciences racked 3 out of 5 categories in this year’s MSEUF Founding anniversary with its outstanding performance at the Eleanor F. Bigyan Cultural Contests held at the University Gymnasium, on Feb 8.
The College of Arts and Sciences stunned the crowd with their exhilarating performance and reigned champion in the Philippine Folk Dance with their elegant showcase and their glittery gold Filipinianas, Modern Jazz with their Britney Spears-inspired concept, and in the Vocal Duet harmonizing to their winning song ‘Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang?’
Meanwhile, the College of Education showed their best during the competition landing 2nd place in the Philippine Folk Dance and the Vocal Duet followed by the College of Engineering in 3rd place in both categories.
Winning 2nd place in the Modern Jazz Category is the College of Education while 3rd place is the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology, exemplifying their highest choreographic skill possible through a variety of modern dance steps.
