CAS blasts off CASAYAHAN 2023

With a gig night theme, faculty members and students from the College of Arts and Sciences joined forces as they celebrate the CASAYAHAN 2023 at MSEUF Gymnasium, on Feb. 24.

Dr. Claudia Odette Ayala, dean of CAS, delivered a special message to the participants saying that the CASayahan 2023 was the biggest event held in the history of the College of Arts and Sciences.

At present, the population of CAS increased by more than 500 students compared to previous years wherein the population reached about 100 students, she expressed gratitude to the faculties of CAS and CASCO for this successful event.

Dean Ayala also noted that all of the students and faculties deserved to enjoy this night after the weeks of exhaustion and effort they worked during the 76th Foundation Week Celebration.

During dinner, students were selected as lucky winners for the Raffle draw and received 10 random shirts and five crocheted accessories.

Participants and winners from the 76th Foundation week are given photo opportunities altogether with their mentors and Dean Ayala.

Meanwhile, the CAS Representatives for the Eleanor F. Bigyan Cultural Contest were able to perform once again including participants of the vocal duet, modern jazz, and dance showdown, with faculties performing an entertaining dance production number on the dance floor afterward.

College of Arts and Sciences’ Holiday Band also harmonized their winning rendition of Up Dharma Down’s Tadhana and other hits to the audience.

Awaited by everyone, guest singer Kyle Anunciacion serenaded the crowd with his hit songs and the CAS anthem ‘Yan Ang CAS’ which everyone sang along with.

Crochet by Hoky, Carmela’s Shoppe, and JKT Productions were among the sponsors of this astounding night, hosted by John Rev Remo and Cassy Abella, that ended with a rave party commanded by guest DJ Karl Aundrey.
