Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation – Lucena (MSEUF – Lucena), along with its affiliate schools in Candelaria, San Antonio, Sampaloc, Catanauan, and Calauag, opened its classes for the school year 2020-2021 in all levels, employing flexible learning modalities amid the prevailing health crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The blended learning approach included online instructions which will be transmitted through a systematic use of virtual interactions and offline mode to cope with the challenges restricting physical classes.

In early March 2020, when the pandemic hit the world that disrupted classes in all schools, the MSEUF University Academic Council, led by Dr. Benilda N. Villenas, VP for Academics and Research, took the opportunity in training faculty members in a series of webinars to master methods for interactive learning tools, modular instruction and the likes to adopt flexible and blended learning modalities.

Amid fears that some students might not be able to cope up with the new normal of learning, the University assured that no student will be left behind. The University President, Madam Naila E. Leveriza, together with the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Wilfrido L. Enverga, showed their support for the welfare of the students in providing the best quality education that the students and parents deserve from an autonomous university.

MSEUF is included among the six universities in the Philippines identified by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to train teachers for flexible learning since May, before the opening of classes in August 2020.
