MSEUF – Lucena Wildcats erased MaryHill College Crusaders’ twice-to-beat advantage to snatch the Beach Volleyball crown in the PRISAA Quezon Chapter Meet.

Amidst the scorching heat on March 24 at Sitio Sibul, Brgy. Dalahican, Wildcats Mary Reyzenette Capistrano, Lovely Marie Miro, and Marlhex Nobleza managed to keep their calm and beat the Crusaders after losing to them in the previous game.

According to Wildcats’ Coach Ysmael C. Miro, it was unexpected that they managed to edge out the Crusaders especially that the team was undefeated.

Coach Miro also explained how they strategize to win the game and get back at the Crusaders who gave them a loss in the earlier round of the competition.

Moreover, the Wildcats expressed her thoughts after competing against the Crusaders in the final match, with Miro stating that they are proud of themselves for achieving what they cannot achieve in the same tournament last year.

Aside from the win, Coach Miro also recalled their limited-time preparation before the actual game.

“Sa totoo lang isang beses lang kami nagpraktis tapos wala pang net,” Coach Miro said, also stating that they once trained in Brgy. Talao-Talao to condition themselves and practice under the blazing sun’s heat for the actual competition.

The Wildcats will be competing for the PRISAA Regional which will also be held in Lucena City as the MSEUF will host this regional.
