Three college departments secures back-to-back wins in Foundation Week Writing Contests

Representatives of the College of Education (CEd), College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA), and College of Engineering (CEng) secured respective first places in the Tobias Y. Enverga writing competition 2024 held at the University Library, Feb. 14.

CEd’s Arielle Lucille Gayeta snatched the 1st place in the essay writing category, with College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) rep Austin Howard Mauzar placing 2nd, and Kyle Alvasan of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) earning the 3rd place.

Aendera Gwyneth Briones brought the gold for CEng in Pagsulat ng Tula, CEd’s Josh Emmanuel Macalla sealed the silver, and Hans Christine Tibayan of the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology (CCJC) took the bronze.

In the Pagsulat ng Sanaysay category, Gladyrine Mae Abella (CAFA) secured the gold medal, while Jana Platino (CBA) seized the silver, and Keith Aldrei Razon (CEng) bagged the bronze.

The contestants broke boundaries as they unleashed their vibrant ideas, in line with the Tobias Y. Enverga Writing Contest’s theme, ‘EU Beyond Borders: Are we there yet?’
