The strategy

A hundred bullets are fired in a couple of seconds, BANG! The blood is shed entirely on the face of his crying comrade; his face is no longer recognizable because of the impact of the bullet dashing inside his cheeks.

General Luna is quietly observing the scenery, watching his men die at the hands of American soldiers.

This is not the way he pictured the outcome, thinking there might be some ways, some ideas to reverse the momentum.

He then hastily leaps onto his horse and charges toward the opponent. His soldiers are shocked, as well as the Americans, with a confusing question in their minds. Why? Why did the general force himself in the direction of the Americans?

If he dies, there is no hope that the Filipinos will win the war against the Americans in Sto. Tomas.

“FIRE!!! Focus your aim on that general!” the American general commanded, but the swarm of General Luna’s men followed him and charged in his direction.

The horse miraculously repelled all the shots of the Americans, as if the general could unintentionally avoid the bullets.

The ammunition is planted inside the bodies of the Americans, and they are slowly outclassed by the Filipino soldiers.

“The plan! The plan succeeded,” General Luna hollered with tears gently dropping onto his face. They slay the Americans and win the war at Sto. Tomas. “YOLO strategy worked so well HA HA HA!” he proudly says.

The intense situation comes at ease; the soldiers return to their campsite with an American captive. General Luna then again peacefully observes their victory.

A person riding on a horse suddenly approaches him, “just like I have said… It worked so well,” he said. “You are such a tremendous hero General, sacrificing yourself with that kind of strategy.” He followed.

“Thank you for that wonderful plan. It works. I think luck is on our side right now,” the general replied. “Give yourself a rest General; you deserve it. It is now time for me to follow your triumph. I’m so sick of hiding in the shadows,” he answered. “Go on, lead the way Apolinario Mabini,” General Luna’s final statement before going inside the tent.
