28 students attended the Training Workshop for Journalism and Media Management which bore the theme: “Embracing the New Normal: The Era of Pandemic Journalism and Media Management.” It was hosted by Jomari Tulabing, Hola Visitas’ Editor-in-Chief.

The event kicked off at 8:30 AM with messages from Dr. Maricel Herrera, CIHTM Dean, Dr. Jennifer B. Reyes, CIHTM Chairperson, and John Vincent Ibarreta, Hola Visitas adviser.

Introductions for different sections of the newspaper were done after, and before lunch break.

At exactly 1:00 PM, the participants went into 6 breakout rooms for specific and hands-on workshops on the different sections of the school paper. The following were the rooms and the speakers: Room 1 for News and Sports writing – Jean Alric Almira and Andrei Christian Cuario; Room 2 for Feature writing & Literary Graphics – España and Recella; Room 3 for Editorial Writing, Editorial Cartooning & Comics – Karen Yvonne Daleon and Simon Romuel Uy; Room 4 for Photojournalism – Gabriel Biler; Room 5 for Dev.
