The Luzonian snags finals spot in 4 BDCP Awards category

The Luzonian, the official publication of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, became a finalist in the Best Sports Page Design, Best Editorial Page Design, Best Environment Story, and Best in News Photography categories of the Best-Designed Campus Papers of the Philippines (BDCP) Awards.

The finalists of the second season were announced on BDCP’s official Facebook page on January 1, 2021.

For the Best in Sports Design category, The Luzonian (Tabloid) was chosen along with The CSU Communicator – Cagayan State University, The Defender Newsletter – Bataan Peninsula State University, Phoenix Newsletter – Lyceum of the Philippines University Batangas, and Scientia – Bicol University (College of Science).

As for the Best Editorial Page Design, The Luzonian’s Tabloid made it along with The CSU Promethean – Cagayan State University, The UPLB Perspective – UP Los Baños, The CSU Communicator (Tabloid) CSU, and Scientia – Bicol University (College of Science).

Furthermore, ‘Gintong Tamis na Biyaya ng Kalikasan’ by Louise Melka Saavedra, a finalist for Best Environment Story, came from The Luzonian Newsletter, along with 7 others.

The Luzonian Tabloid also became a finalist for the Best in News Photography category along with Atenews – Ateneo De Davao, The CSU Communicator Tabloid – Cagayan State University, The Defender (Tabloid) – Bataan Peninsula State University (Balanga Campus), and Scientia – Bicol University (College of Science).

Instead of a physical awarding ceremony originally set for December 2020, a Virtual Awarding for the winners will be held on February 14, 2021, at 10 pm via Facebook Live.
