OSSEI launches 4th nat’l webinars and writing comp; The L continues the legacy.

Campus Journalists enlist in the three-day webinar and writing competition at the 4th Organization of Student Services Eductaors, Inc. held via Zoom platform last May 21, 28, and June 4, 2022.

A total of two hundred thirteen participants from various universities contend in multiple competitions such as editorial cartoon, editorial writing and publication, and online competition.

During the three-day event, participants were bemused by speakers who gave their insights about the importance of news, media, and fact-checking.   On Day 1, May 21, 2022, Liana Barro and Ben Domingo facilitated a webinar about the evaluation of campus journalism. Regidor G. Gaboy followed them for Page Layout and Design.

On day 2, May 28, 2022, Dave Ventura and Glenn Agustin facilitated Editorial Writing and Editorial Cartooning, and Rowena C. Paraan gave Day 3, June 4, 2022, a webinar about fact-checking.   Subsequently, after every webinar, is the contest proper.

Hence, The Luzonian bagged fourth place in Page Layout and Design. Ven Diaz Sales, a writer from the Luzonian, one of the top 5 in fact-checking journalism, was held on June 4, 2022.
