To acknowledge the Envergan scholars for the Academic Year 2022–2023, the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation organized the return of the on-the-ground execution of the semester Scholars’ assembly at St. Bonaventure, September 30.

Eighty fourth-year students attended the event in person, while others joined through Zoom, Facebook Live, and YouTube Live.

A total of 519 scholars were recognized in the ceremony, including college and university scholars, externally funded or sponsored scholars, internally funded scholars, alumni-sponsored scholars, and entrance grantees. The said event was organized by the Office of the Vice President for External Relations, the Office of Scholarships, Job Placement and Alumni Relations (OSJPAR), and the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), and was headed by Maria Isabel D. Granada, Director of OSJPAR. Vice President for External Relations Celso D. Jaballa officially began the assembly by giving motivational opening remarks to the scholars.

Meanwhile, Evelyn S. Abeja, Vice President for Administration, delivered the message by President Naila E. Leveriza, which highlighted intellectual wellness. Following the aforementioned remarks, each scholar was acknowledged and given a certificate of recognition.

To inspire and enlighten the Envergan scholars, Dr. Jhan Mark Catalla, an alumnus scholar under RA 6728, delivered a speech through a video presentation. His message emphasized his struggles and challenges as a student as well as the doubts he received from others and how he overcame them and eventually achieved success. “Bilang pagbabahagi, ito ang tatlong bagay na pinanghahawakan ko noon sa aking paglalakbay.

Una, fight for your dream. Pangalawa always chooses to be happy. At pangatlo, keep motivated,” the Senior High School Department Head of Mt. Carmel School of Infanta said.

Furthermore, Director Joana Fe Panganiban led the closing remarks by congratulating the scholars and thanking the organizers of the event. The assembly, which lasted for two and a half hours, was hosted by Genesis Zerrudo and Pauline Joy Tapel.
