To enhance the visual quality of publication materials in the College of Education, Erika D. Marca elaborated on the importance of layout principles to participants of the Council of English Enthusiast’s (CEE) Journalism Workshop 2024 at AEC 206, Mar. 1.

Marca is known for being the four-peat Editor in Chief of The Luzonian from 2019 to 2023. Her journalistic journey proved to the Envergan community that publication materials are tools that promote active engagement through comprehensive and attractive information dissemination.

In her discussion, the College of Education students learned the concept of page and content design by tackling visual elements such as hierarchy, white space, typography, consistency, color scheme, alignment, and contrast.

In addition, she provided tips on how to manage a publication page by utilizing Meta Business Suite effectively, along with proper social media strategy.

For her advice, she emphasized the essence of self-reflection, always being open to improvement and adapting as much as possible.

Meanwhile, CEE also organized a journalism workshop to improve the visual identity of The Mentors, the official student publication of the College of Education.
