Faculties and employees from MSEUF-Main Campus participated in a Color Fun Run as a part of its Health & Wellness Day at the University Gymnasium, March 20.

Before the fun run started, faculties and staff lined up for the registration and health check-up headed by the MSEUF Medical and Dental Services, followed by warm-up exercises.

The fun run routed the Nursing Building as a starting point, then traveling through Gate 3, Madrid St., CAFA Building, Enverga Boulevard, CIHTM, and the old outpost, before heading to the University Gymnasium that served as the finish line.

After the fun run, Dario R. Opistan, Vice President for Administration, delivered his opening remarks thanking all departments who participated in the event, especially Sir Arby, Health and Safety Office, and Medical Services.

Opistan also noted how important the activity is to balance health and wellness with their loved ones as people nowadays tend to sacrifice their health to gain wealth which sometimes causes them to neglect their health.

Anytime Fitness-Lucena Division facilitators also performed a series of Zumba exercises with faculties. Afterward, selected faculties from different departments participated in a zumba dance showdown where they energetically danced through the beat of lively music.

Afterward, guest speaker Dr. Regan Uy, a cardiologist from Lucena MMG Plaza, had a health talk on the Diagnosis and Management of Hypertension.

Meanwhile, Dr. Melo Justiniano, Head of Medical and Dental Services, noted that Health and Wellness Day is a kick-off activity for the university’s mental health break.

Under the Office of the Vice President for Administration, the Human Resource Department, Health and Safety Office, and Medical and Dental Services, in partnership with Anytime Fitness Lucena Division, organized the event hosted by Sir Neric Rivera and Mam Korina Marie Alibuyog.
