Enverga University beefs up for its 76th Founding Anniversary

Students, guests, and faculty members gathered in the University Gymnasium for a Mass and Wreath-Laying Ceremony to officially kick off the MSEUF 76th Foundation Anniversary on Feb. 6. Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Maaño headed the thanksgiving mass where he shares in the Homily about how the University is created and stayed strong despite all the challenges it faced through the years.

The mass also introduced the MSEUF’s Alumni Association Officers for 2023. Afterward, Envergans witnessed the commemoration of the founder of the university, Manuel S. Enverga, as the 374th NROTC facilitated a ceremony and offered flowers in front of his statue.

The President’s Service Awarding Program followed recognizing the service and loyalty that employees have rendered to the university, to God, and country. In her speech, President/COO Naila E. Leveriza thanked all the faculty and employees as they were these good shepherds nurturing the university and making it the way the founder wanted it to be.

“We would like to express our utmost gratitude to all of you, each one of you greatly contributed to making this university what it is today–a university we are all proud of,” President Leveriza said.

During the ceremony, employees and faculty who rendered 25-29 years of service to the university were acknowledged as Silver Awardees. These include Lea Habito, Janine Quiambao, Marco Antonio Rodas, Carmina Tolentino, Victor Oribe, Silvia Nieto, Manuel Zurbano, Lizaminda Regodon, Henry Rubio, Ashley Pangiligan,Claudia Odette Ayala, Jorge Calvendra, Predro Jose De Castro, Susana De Castro, Dante Renigado, Noel Esteban Rosales, Marissa Ayaay, Olivia Palanca, Clarissa Cordebo, Sonia Durante, Darios Virrey, Cesar Wong, Celso Jaballa, Melba Sardea, and Reina Pasumbal.

Meanwhile, Pearl awardees who worked in the university for 30-39 years were given a plaque and cash incentives. The awardees were Rey Oliver Alejandrino, Imelda Zarsadias, Fe Bartiana, Carolina Engaña, Buenafe Dela Puerta, Jose Giron Jr., Roger Ibias, Henedina Lagumen, William Verzo, Evelia Del Mundo, Andrea Parreño, Glicenia De Leon, Numerania Catalla, Evangeline Constantino, and Luzviminda Sinapilo. Ruby Awards were also given to the employees who provided 40-49 years of commitment to the university which include Amalia Delos Reyes, Rosario Rago, Mauro Eclavea, and Guillermo Rago Jr.

Furthermore, Dr. Benilda N. Villenas received a standing ovation and a Golden Award proving her dedication, passion, and commitment to her 50 years of service for MSEUF.

Teary-eyed Dr. Villenas shared her personal experiences working for the university saying it was MSEUF who shaped her to be who she is now.

“Enverga put me on the map rather than the other way around because if not for Enverga University, I would not have been where I am today,” Dr. Villenas stated.
