As part of the requirements for the Catering Management course, 2nd-year students from the Bachelor of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management organized its first-ever cocktail event titled L’amour in Paris held at the Coffee Shop, CIHTM Building, Feb. 27.

About 60-70 guests came forward to visit the student’s vintage Paris-inspired cocktail party wherein pastries, kinds of pasta, fruits, desserts, salads, and appetizers were displayed and savored.

Sir Reynold Cerillo, CIHTM faculty and adviser of HTM112 Catering Management Class, supervised the event and expressed his gratitude to the people who strived hard for this cocktail party including Aaliyah Janelle Rodil, the event’s function manager, and Phoebe Jaudines, the executive chef.

The event also highlighted exhibitions of the table of charcuterie, chocolate fountain, kinds of cheese, hams, and other foods located in the middle of the coffee shop.

The guest performers, Cassie Besonia and Paul Escueta, set the mood inside the coffee shop with their music while other CIHTM students played different roles in the event such as waiters and chefs.

“Bawat estudyante ay nabigyan ng ticket kung sino pwede nila i-invite, kahit outsider or student lang,” Rodil informed.

“Part po ito ng Catering Management namin. Since the word catering naman po, ‘yun talaga po ginagawa namin,” Rodil added.
