CEd, CEng, CAFA land 1st place in Tobias Y. Enverga Writing Contests

The College of Education (CEd), College of Engineering (CEng), and College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA) bagged respective 1st places in the Tobias Y. Enverga Writing Contests held at the MSEUF Library, Feb. 8.

With the topic, Enverga University: Transcending Excellence, CEd was hailed as the champ in Pagsulat ng Tula, CEng won in Essay Writing, and CAFA prevailed in Pagsulat ng Sanaysay.

Twenty-four students competed in the event with seven in Pagsulat ng Tula, eight in Essay Writing, and nine in Pagsulat ng Sanaysay. Josh Emmanuel G. Macalla from CEd placed 1st in Pagsulat ng Tula, Ray Martin B. Balilo from the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies came in 2nd place, and Feliza Grace Anne B. Derilo from the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences in 3rd.

Meanwhile, Louie Angelo G. Basas from CEng secured 1st place in Essay Writing, Austin Howard M. Mauzer from the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) took 2nd place, and Renee Agatha G. Castillo from the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences grabbed 3rd.

On the other hand, Gladyrine Mae Abella from CAFA acquired 1st place in Pagsulat ng Sanaysay, Josiah Samuel O. Espana from CBA attained 2nd, and Clarisse Samantela from CEng placed 3rd.

The competition was facilitated by Jude Calvin D. Caldero, University Collegiate Student Council CEd Representative, as the student chairman, and Prof. Dexter S. Villamin from CEd as faculty-in-charge.

The Tobias Y. Enverga Writing Contest is in line with the celebration of the MSEUF 76th Foundation Anniversary.
