Following a three-year hiatus due to pandemic, the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies officially commenced the resumption of the face-to-face implementation of Cyber Eskwela, joined by approximately 50 participants on Feb 18.

Cyber Eskwela, a flagship community extension service offered by the department, seeks to provide free educational services to participants by utilizing the resources available through technology.

The event comprises five sessions, wherein selected resource speakers will lead discussions on the use of various software, such as Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, as well as websites like WordPress.

According to Donabell S. Hernandez, Chairman of the Community Extension Service (CES) of MSEUF-CCMS, “They will learn. They will have an opportunity to practice and apply ‘yung iba’t ibang technologies na alam nila na pero wala naman silang capability to do and to use.”

Moreover, the program also provides a valuable learning experience since such topics are not usually taught in their regular classes and participants will have hands-on experience with the program’s laboratory setup. “Masaya, very good kasi mas madaling mag-cater at mas madaling mag-reach out at makuha ang objective to share knowledge nang magkakaharap kayo,” Hernandez added.

The discussions on Adobe Indesign and Photoshop were spearheaded by Entertainment and Multimedia Computing student, Erika Marca, and CCMS faculty member, John Rover Sinag.

The selected participants of the said event are from Quezon National High School under Special Program in Journalism (SPJ).
