CCJC hosts ‘Edukasyon Kontra Droga’ drug awareness confab 2023

College of Criminal Justice and Criminology together with the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) conducted a drug awareness seminar at MSEUF Gymnasium, on Feb 28.

Pat. Adrian Florie B. Sanchez, guest speaker, explains the psychological and physiological effects of drugs on a person and how it affects the human body. Hence, he also gave a short quiz to test the knowledge of the Criminology students about drugs and R.A. 9165.

Meanwhile, PCpl Joan Francesslynn B. Taradji, guest speaker, tackles tobacco and alcohol and how curiosity, family, and peers influence adults and teenagers to indulge in these activities.

PCol Julian T. Olonan emphasizes the importance and role of the Tri-Bureau,  Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, (BJMP), and Bureau of Fire Protection, (BFP),  and how their duties help in maintaining the peace and order of the community.

“Maganda yung activity kasi nadadagdagan yung initial knowledge about drugs at yung ibang aspect na nakapalibot dito” Zhyril Abegail Perez, student.

The said activity was to help the criminology students better understand Republic Act 9165 and sanctions of drugs.
