CBA goes hybrid for CBA Fiesta 2022

With on-ground events and online activities, MSEUF College of Business and Accountancy celebrates its 2022 edition of the CBA Fiesta with the theme, A Celebration by the Best Forda Best, September 26-30.

CBA Organizations organized the activities held during the event including the Booth Fair, Human Bingo, photo and tiktok contests, CBA Dean’s Cup, Jologs Quiz Bee, and Webinar. “Since, nasa Hyflex na tayo which is the combination of Online and On-ground. So, I asked some help from the CBA Academic and non-academic organizations to create fun and learning activities for the CBA students,” CBA Department Student Council Chairwoman Loremae Ella said.

During the on-ground activities, Human Bingo of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants morning winners include Carmela Bordonado, Krizzia Saberola, Genre Miguel Gabatan, Joyce Anne Garduque, and Abigail Surquia, while afternoon session winners were Kirsten Arrabelle Villalobos, Angelica Pacaigue, Charlene Claire Cacao, Veronica Ventocilla, and Angelyn Alcala Furthermore, CBA Academic Circle (CAC)’s Jologs Quiz Bee’s first, second, and third placers were Kyla Maderazo, Reinnie Torres, and Gabrielle Enverga, while its CBA Dean’s Cup winners were Elmira Silva, Nicole Kirsten Loñoza, and Maicha Angcana.

Due to the midterm exam week, CBA Fiesta online events like the Tiktok Infomercial Contest, Junior People Management Association of the Philippines (JPMAP) Photo Contest, and Society of Financial Management (SFMS) Webinar were re-scheduled after the exams. After exams, events were then held and contest winners were announced including Tiktok Infomercial champion Miguel Constantino, first runner-up Roseann Revilla, second runner-up Hashley Joy Limpo, and third runner-up Lianne Mae Aductante.

Meanwhile, in the JPMAP’s Photography Contest, Maryan Maaño claimed first prize, Shaina Hernandez placed second, and Rose Camille Tinamisan came in third. Fourth-year Marketing Management students also put up food booths during the event for participants to enjoy with Eatstetik winning the Best Brand Experience award, fiYEAHsta de Escuela garnering the Highest Sales Performance, and the Vegans awarded as the Best Booth Exhibitor. Moreover, the event culminated with the SFMS’ webinar for a cause with the theme, ‘New Gen: Dialogue of Unveiling the Truth behind all Things’ aiming to cultivate a sense of social responsibility among students.

“The activities help us CBA students to learn more about our department, especially for the freshmen…The activities help the students in boosting their social skills and the opportunity to excel in an area that does not directly involve academics. This gives them the time to unwind from their academic endeavors,” Chairwoman Ella stated.
