Among 10 equally bright teams from different colleges, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Academic Team was hailed as the champions of the Efren A. Micor Online Academic Contest held at the University Gymnasium, on Feb. 7.

The CAS Academic Team last won the academic quiz bee in 2010 making this year’s win the sweetest one yet. Thirteen may be unlucky to some but for CAS it is the opposite as they won this year’s edition of the much-contested academic quiz bee they last won in 2010, or 13 years ago.

Meanwhile, the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) placed 2nd with a score of 34, and the College of Education (CEd) bagged 3rd with 28 points.

Furthermore, College of Criminal Justice and Criminology (CCJC) scored 19, College of Maritime Education (CME) garnered 15, College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (CNAHS) with 18, College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (CIHTM) scored 20, College of Engineering (CENg) made 25, College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA) bagged 26, and College of Computing and Multimedia Studies (CCMS) had 27 points.
