There is Hope

In the heart of a nation’s call,
Stood Andres Bonifacio, brave amidst it all.
A hero born from humble ground,
His spirit strong and courage abound.

From messenger to leader he rose,
In fighting for independence, he found his purpose.
Katipunan, his bold creation and a union of dedication,
Fought for freedom, a vivid aspiration.

Long live Katipunan, their resounding cry,
Shouting “Kalayaan!” to the sky so high.
Tearing cedulas, sealed their declaration,
Cast off the colonial cloak, embracing liberation.

Amid duty and responsibility’s weight,
Bonifacio stood, a figure so great.
Not seeking power, but the nation’s plea,
To be unified, together, for all to be free.

In his firm hold, the bolo, symbol of courage and might,
Slicing through the darkest veil of the night.
A hero’s tale in every stroke displayed,
Leading the way, unwavering, unafraid.

But on that night, divergent paths were laid,
One to attend, the other to celebrate.
Beneath the veil, a serpent’s cunning wile,
Deception cloaked in a leader’s style.

One fought for freedom, noble in his aims,
While another sought leadership, igniting divisive flames.
Ambition’s claw fracturing the collective core,
Undermining trust, dividing us more and more.

A hero who fought for the land of the morning,
Yet, in return, fate was disheartening.
Died In the grasp, not of foes, but of his own,
Betrayal’s sting, a wound deeply sown.

In the end, amidst the discord and tears,
His legacy persevered through the years.
An icon of courage, unyielding and grand,
Bonifacio’s tale, immortal in his land.

For heroes live beyond their years,
Their legacy in freedom, never disappears.
There is hope, just forge a path,
For the land we love, they’ll face our courage, our wrath.

The nation’s progress, his fervent dream,
He fought, he strived, a true beam.
Bonifacio forge ahead in our nation’s name,
Duty and responsibility, now our time to claim.
