90 student leaders, nagtipon sa “EU Leaders” seminar

Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon, inorganisa ng Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) ang seminar na “EU Leaders: Empowering and Uniting for Collaborative Success,” na dinaluhan ng mahigit 90 lider-estudyante, Agosto 6.

Sa unang bahagi ng programa, ibinahagi ni Lea T. Salas, Corporate Planning and Development Officer, ang mga “Strategic Goals” at “Sustainable Development Goals” para sa mga plano ng aktibidad ng mga student organizations.

Ayon kay Salas, hindi dapat magkakakumpetisyon ang mga student leaders; sa halip, kinakailangan ang kolaborasyon, masusing pagpaplano, at pagiging flexible upang maging matagumpay ang bawat proyekto.

Samantala, tinalakay naman ni Arby Lagman, Health and Safety Officer, ang communication protocol at PCARV (Prevention, Control, and Risk Vulnerability) at ang tungkulin ng mga designated school officials sa pagpapanatili ng kaligtasan ng mga mag-aaral.

Ayon kay Roderick Rabina, Coordinator ng Office of Student Organizations, ito ang unang beses na isinagawa ang seminar na ito. Aniya, napansin niya ang kahalagahan ng pag-aalign ng lahat ng proyekto ng mga estudyante sa mission at vision ng Unibersidad.

“Sa ganitong paraan, mas magiging centralized ang mga proyekto dahil lahat ng kanilang icoconduct na activity ay dapat pasok sa ating SDGs” pahayag ni Rabina.

Layunin ng seminar na ito na i-align ang general plan of activities (GPOA) ng mga lider-estudyante sa Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) at i-centralize ito sa mission at vision ng Unibersidad. Kung kaya’t inaasahan na magbubunga ito ng mas maganda at mas epektibong mga proyekto sa hinaharap.
