University Chaplain Father Ferdinand Maano officiated a University-wide Thanksgiving Mass to kick start the 77th Foundation Anniversary Celebration at the University Gymnasium, Feb. 12.

In commemoration of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s 77th Founding Anniversary, Fr. Maaño highlighted in his homily the successes of the university as it marked its 77th year.

“77 years will never be just a number. It speaks about the process of becoming. 77 years which means years of hardship and painful continuous reinventing of itself,” Maaño said.

Fr. Maaño also mentioned the recent topnotcher in the Architecture Licensure Examinations from the College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA), referring to Ar. Jearlene Deleon Lipa placed top 2 in the board exams.

With this, Fr. Maaño narrated how the university keeps on innovation and thrives on being the best university for students at the same time being also a family.

“77 years have passed and the institution has become a family with love and respect for your brothers, your professors, and everyone,” he added.

The board of trustees including President Naila E. Leveriza, faculty, employees, students, deans, and department heads gathered inside the gym to attend the mass celebrated by Fr. Maaño.

After the mass ended, the wreath-laying ceremony in tribute to the university founder, Dr. Manuel S. Enverga, took place.
